GrowersGuide.ca provides free gardening guides, planting calendars, and calculators for Canadian gardeners. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Reproduce, republish, or redistribute our content without written permission
- Use automated tools to scrape or copy content at scale
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
2. Gardening Information Disclaimer
The planting dates, frost dates, growing guides, and calculator outputs on GrowersGuide.ca are provided for general informational purposes only. Gardening results vary significantly based on local microclimates, soil conditions, weather variation, and other factors beyond our control.
We do not guarantee that following our guidance will result in a successful harvest. Always exercise your own judgement and consult local gardening resources, extension services, or Master Gardeners for advice specific to your situation.
3. Affiliate Links
Some pages on GrowersGuide.ca contain affiliate links. If you click these links and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. We only link to products we believe are relevant and useful. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content or recommendations.
4. Calculator and Tool Accuracy
Our frost date calculators, seed starting calculators, spacing calculators, and other tools use historical climate data and general horticultural guidelines. They are intended as starting points, not definitive instructions. Frost dates are historical averages based on Canadian climate normals (1981–2010 / 1991–2020) as published by Environment and Climate Change Canada — actual frost events may occur earlier or later in any given year.
5. Weather Widget
The weather widget uses real-time data from Open-Meteo and OpenStreetMap. Weather data is provided as-is. We make no warranty regarding its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Do not make critical decisions based solely on this widget.
6. Garden Journal
The garden journal tool stores data in your browser's local storage on your device only. We are not responsible for data loss due to browser data being cleared, device failure, or any other cause. We strongly recommend using the export function to back up your journal data regularly.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on GrowersGuide.ca — including text, guides, graphics, calculator code, and design — is owned by GrowersGuide.ca or used with permission. You may share links to our pages and quote brief excerpts with attribution. You may not copy or republish substantial portions of our content without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, GrowersGuide.ca and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, its content, or its tools — including but not limited to crop loss, financial loss, or damage resulting from reliance on our planting guides or calculators.

GrowersGuide.ca may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any external sites. Links do not constitute endorsement.
