What we can and can’t help with
✅ Frost-date corrections
Every frost date here comes from Environment and Climate Change Canada normals. If one looks wrong for your city, tell us which station you expected and we will check it.
✅ A calculator that misbehaves
Include the city you picked and what you expected. Most bugs we have fixed were reported this way.
✅ Using our data
Our climate datasets are free to reuse with attribution. See the data page for the citation format.
❌ Diagnosing a sick plant
We cannot identify a pest or disease from a description. Your provincial master gardener line or a local garden centre will do better.
❌ Guest posts and link swaps
We do not publish guest articles or trade links. These go unanswered.
❌ Bylaw and legal questions
Our bylaw pages summarise published municipal rules and link the source. Confirm anything binding with your own municipality.
Newsletter and unsubscribing
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. If one
ever does not, email hi@growersguide.ca
and you will be removed by hand. What we do with your address is set out in the
